After Your Exam: Results & Grading

Your exam results are available immediately after you finish testing. Here’s how to find them and what they mean.

How to Find Your Results

1. Immediately after your exam: Your pass/non-pass result appears on screen.
2. In your account: Log in at TheInstitutes.org and go to My Courses & Exams > My Grades.
3. Official records: Updated within 48 hours of your exam.

How Scores Are Reported

• Passing score: 70% or higher
• Non-passing attempts: You’ll receive a topic-level performance report showing which content areas to focus on for your next attempt. This is the most detailed feedback available.

After Passing

• Your completion certificate is available in your account — see How to Get Your Completion Certificate Resent if you need a copy.
• Your Progress Tracker updates to reflect the completed course.
• If this was your final course, your designation diploma is automatically ordered and mailed within 8–10 weeks.

After Not Passing

• No waiting period — you can purchase a retake immediately.
• Same-window retakes are available at a discounted price.
• Use the topic-level performance report to focus your study on weak areas.
• Study tools: assignment quizzes, exam practice questions, QuizMe app, and the Simulated Exam.
