Exam Practice Questions & the Simulated Exam

Modified on Wed, 3 Jun at 10:17 AM

Your online course includes practice questions and a timed simulated exam to help you prepare. Here’s how to use them.

Exam Practice Questions

Interactive exam practice questions reflect the tone and format of the real exam. They include:

  • Instant feedback — each answer is analyzed with explanations for correct and incorrect choices
  • AI-powered chatbot — ask follow-up questions if you’re stuck on a concept
  • Direct course links — jump back to where the concept is covered in your course

How to Access Them

  1. Complete all course assignments first.
  2. Go to the Exam Prep section of your online course.
  3. Select Exam Practice Questions to begin.

You can complete practice questions as many times as you’d like.

The Simulated Exam

The simulated exam is a timed, one-attempt practice test that mirrors the real exam experience.

Exam Question Formats

Important: The simulated exam allows one attempt only. Once you complete it, you cannot retake it unless your entire course progress is reset. Plan to take it when you’re ready for a final practice run before exam day.

In addition to multiple choice, your exam may include:

  • Fill-in-the-blank — type the correct term or concept
  • Drag-and-drop — match or order items
  • Numeric entry — enter a calculated value

Question formats vary by program and exam. The simulated exam is the best indicator of which formats to expect — any format that appears on the simulated exam may appear on the credentialing exam, and formats absent from the simulated exam won’t appear.

Tip: You will not lose points for minor spelling errors on fill-in-the-blank questions. Common misspellings are accepted.

Reviewing Your Results

Important: Simulated exam results are not saved after you close the review window. Once you exit, results cannot be retrieved. Take notes during your review while the results are still on screen.

After completing the simulated exam, you can review your incorrect answers immediately — but only during that session.

Simulated Exam Reset

If you need another simulated exam attempt (for example, before an exam retake):

  • Contact Customer Success to request a reset.
  • Be aware that resetting the simulated exam resets all course progress — your assignments and quizzes will also be cleared.
  • Paying for an exam retake does not automatically reset your simulated exam access.

QuizMe App

The QuizMe app provides mobile access to practice quizzes for select courses. If your course doesn’t appear in the app after enrollment, contact Customer Success — some courses require manual provisioning for app access.
