The Institutes Mobile App

Modified on Wed, 3 Jun at 10:16 AM

The Institutes Course Companion app lets you practice quiz questions on your phone or tablet. Here’s how to set it up.

Important: Many courses must be manually provisioned by Customer Success before they appear in the app — syncing alone will not make a course appear. The app is included with designation courses only. Standalone online courses, CEU courses, Essentials courses, and certain certificates do not appear in the app. If your course doesn’t show up after syncing, contact Customer Success with your name, student ID, and the course name.

Before You Start

  • You’ll need an active Institutes account with at least one enrolled course.
  • The app is available for iOS (App Store) and Android (Google Play).
  • Your app login must match your website login — use the same email and password.

Steps

  1. Search for “The Institutes Course Companion” in the App Store or Google Play.
  2. Download and install the app.
  3. Log in using the same email and password as your Institutes website account.
  4. Tap Sync to load your enrolled courses.
  5. Select a course to begin practicing.

What’s in the App

  • Practice quiz questions for select designation courses
  • Quiz content that reflects the tone and format of the real exam

The app does not include full course content, study materials, flash cards, or simulated exams. For those, log in to your course on TheInstitutes.org.

Troubleshooting

Can’t find the app?

The app was previously called QuizMe and Smart QuizMe. It’s now called The Institutes Course Companion. Search for “Course Companion” or “The Institutes.”

Courses purchased in the old QuizMe app?

Content from the old QuizMe app does not automatically transfer to Course Companion. Contact Customer Success to restore access to previously purchased courses.

Login error?

Make sure you’re using your preferred email from your Institutes account — not a personal email. Go to My Account > Profile on the website to verify.
