Courses by The Institutes is the mobile app included with your designation course. It’s a study supplement: audio lessons and exam-style practice questions you can use anywhere, alongside your online course.
Important: The old Institutes Course Companion app has been retired and replaced by Courses by The Institutes. Your Course Companion quiz history does not transfer — you’ll start fresh in the new app.

How Audio Lessons Work
Audio lessons are drawn from your course materials and aligned to the same learning objectives. They’re adapted for listening, not read word for word, so they reinforce what you’ve studied rather than replace it.
Playback controls let you change speed, skip forward or back, pause, turn on auto-play, bookmark a moment with a note, and set a sleep timer.
How the App Fits With Your Online Course
The app doesn’t replace required course materials or activities. Completion and assessment are tracked only in your online course at TheInstitutes.org (or your employer’s learning system).
Common Questions
Do I need to add courses manually?
No. When you sign in, the app shows the designation courses you’re enrolled in. If one is missing, log in at TheInstitutes.org and confirm the course appears in My Courses & Exams.
Can I buy the app on its own?
No. It’s available only to students who have purchased a designation course.
How do I sign in?
Choose Sign in with Institutes Account if you study on TheInstitutes.org, or Sign in with Company Email if you study through your employer’s learning system.
Should I delete Course Companion?
Yes. Once you’ve installed Courses by The Institutes, you can delete the old app.
