Sales tax is applied to Institutes study material orders based on your shipping or billing address and applicable state tax laws.
Tax-Exempt Organizations
Important: Tax-exempt orders may need to be placed through Customer Success rather than the standard online cart. Submit your documentation before purchasing to avoid being charged tax.
If your organization is tax-exempt:
- Before ordering, submit your tax-exempt certificate to Customer Success.
- Once your tax-exempt status is on file, future orders will exclude sales tax.
- If you were charged tax on a previous order, contact Customer Success for a corrected invoice.
Already Charged Tax?
If tax was applied to your order and you believe it shouldn’t have been, contact Customer Success with your order number and tax-exempt documentation.
