How to Place an Order on TheInstitutes.org

You can order course materials and register for exams directly on TheInstitutes.org. Here’s how.

Important: Orders cannot be placed by emailing a form to support. Use the online portal for individual orders. Corporate L&D specialists placing bulk orders for a team should follow the dedicated process in Ordering for Your Team (Key Person / Bulk Orders) — not email.

Important: Course materials and exam registrations are separate purchases. Buying course materials does not register you for an exam, and registering for an exam does not include study materials. You’ll need to purchase each one separately.

Steps

  1. Log in to your account at TheInstitutes.org.
  2. Navigate to your designation page or go to My Courses & Exams.
  3. Select the course materials or exam you want to purchase.
  4. Choose your package option — Online Learning or Recommended Package with printed book.
  5. Review your cart — confirm pricing, items, and shipping address before checkout.
  6. Enter your payment method and complete the order.

You’ll receive an email confirmation and receipt after your purchase.

Payment Options

Important: Monthly installment payment plans are not available. Full payment is required at checkout.

  • Credit card — Visa, Mastercard, American Express
  • Corporate billing account — enter your company’s billing number at checkout
  • Sponsorship letter — Guild, USAA, and other employer programs (submitted separately; see Corporate Discounts & Billing Accounts)

After You Order

  • Digital course materials are available immediately in My Courses & Exams.
  • Printed books ship via UPS and typically arrive within 5–7 business days (domestic).
  • Receipts are emailed automatically. Need a copy for reimbursement? Check your email or contact Customer Success.

Common Issues

  • Can’t find a course? Use the search bar or browse your designation page. Some courses (like ACSR) are not available for self-service ordering — contact Customer Success.
  • Shipping to a PO Box? UPS cannot deliver to PO Box addresses. Use a street address instead.
  • Ordered the wrong course? Contact Customer Success as soon as possible to correct or cancel your order. A 30-day return policy applies to unused materials.
