The CPCU Designation Scholarship covers course materials and exam fees for eligible students pursuing the CPCU designation.
Important: Once you’ve submitted the order form, you’re done. The scholarship team processes order forms automatically. Do not also email Customer Success to confirm receipt — that creates duplicate work and slows things down. We will only contact you if we need clarification, and you’ll get a confirmation email once your course access is ready. Allow several business days for processing.
Eligibility
Corporate applicants: - Must work at an organization with a minimum of 5 employees - Must meet CPCU matriculation requirements - Must complete the program within 2 years of receiving the scholarship - Maximum 2 recipients per organization
College student applicants: - Full-time undergraduate student with a major or interest in insurance, risk management, actuarial science, finance, or related field - Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher - Nomination required from a department chair or college dean - Maximum 2 recipients per institution
How to Apply
- Complete the application form — separate forms for corporate and college student applicants.
- Submit a letter of recommendation from a senior executive or department chair.
- Write a personal statement explaining your motivation for pursuing the CPCU designation.
- Submit a short essay responding to the provided prompt.
Note: Applications are evaluated on quality and completeness, with awards granted to the strongest candidates. Rolling admissions — corporate reviews begin March 2026; college student reviews begin August 2026.

Important: Submit your scholarship order form before purchasing on your own. If you buy courses separately, the scholarship may not reimburse those purchases.
- Complete the scholarship order form provided by the CPCU Scholarship team.
- Submit the form with the course name and testing window you’d like to register for.
- The scholarship team processes your order and you’ll receive a confirmation email when course access is ready.
Checking Your Application Status
Contact the CPCU Scholarship team directly using the email address on your application confirmation. General Customer Success may not have access to scholarship application details.
