WCCA & California Workers' Compensation FAQ

Modified on Wed, 1 Apr at 3:00 PM

The WCCA (Workers’ Compensation Claims Administration) and WCCP (Workers’ Compensation Claims Professional) are California-focused programs for workers’ compensation professionals.

Common Questions

Why Do I Need an Ethics Course for WCCP?

The WCCP designation requires an ethics course in addition to the technical coursework. If you completed your courses but were told you still need ethics, this additional requirement applies.

Can I Get Replacement Certificates?

Contact Customer Success with your name and the designation/year to request replacement WCCA or WCCP certificates.

Note: If your original certificates were earned through IEA (Insurance Educational Association), records may have been transferred to The Institutes. Contact Customer Success to verify your records are on file.

Is the Program Being Retired?

If the WCCA/WCCP program is undergoing changes, current students should check the program page on TheInstitutes.org for the latest information on course availability and transition deadlines.

Important: If you purchased courses before a program retirement announcement, contact Customer Success to discuss your options — course substitutions or cross-credits may be available.
