After Your Exam: Results & Grading

Learn how to review your exam results and understand what happens after testing.

When you’ll receive your grade

• Immediately after finishing your exam, you’ll receive a pass or non-pass result. A grade of 70 is required to pass.
• Within 24 hours, you’ll receive an email when your detailed grade report is available in the Grades section of your Institutes account.
• If you did not pass, the report includes topic-level feedback showing where questions were missed.
• Official grades for exams without an announced delay are available no later than one week after the test date.
• Grades are final and not subject to appeal.
  
  

What you may request

For a content-specific review of an exam item, email Customer Success with:

• A description of the question
• The two answer options you believe could be correct
  
• The Assessments team will investigate.
  

What you cannot receive 

Exam content is kept secure to maintain validity and integrity. You cannot receive:

• A copy of the exam or exam questions.
• A numeric score or question-by-question breakdown. 

Why grades may be delayed

• An exam is based on new or revised material
• An exam is first administered in a new or objective format

Grade integrity and review

• Examinees are identified by ID number, not name.
• The Institutes never disclose personal information.
• The Institutes reserve the right to remove a grade for violations of exam rules or based on data forensic findings.

After you pass your final designation exam

• You may immediately begin using your designation after your name.
• Your diploma will be mailed to you.
• If you complete the CPCU by June 15, you’ll be invited to attend the CPCU Conferment Ceremony at In2Risk (held September–October).
