Exam Retakes

Learn when and how you can retake an exam and what it will cost. 

Retake limits

• You may retake an exam once per testing window.
• You may take the exam up to four times per calendar year.

Same testing window retake

• Purchase a new exam.
  
• A $80 discount applies when the retake is purchased and completed in the same testing window.
  
• One discounted retake per window.

Future testing window retake

• Retakes in a new testing window are charged at the standard exam price.

Not ready to retake?

• You may transfer your current exam to a future testing window before the window closes.
• A $95 transfer fee applies.

How to register for a retake

1. Go to My Courses & Exams or from the designation exam page.
2. Select the course, then choose Purchase Retake.
3. Select the same testing window (to receive the discount) or choose a future window.
4. Review your cart to confirm pricing before checkout.

Prepare before you retake

To improve your chances of passing on the next attempt, use all available study tools like the assignment quizzes, exam practice questions, QuizMe app and the Simulated Exam, which most closely reflects the timed experience of the actual designation exam.
