Learn where to find CE credit information, eligibility rules, and filing status for your courses and exams.
How CE credits work
- In most states, licensed insurance professionals are required to earn continuing education (CE) credits to maintain their license.
- If you are not currently licensed, you do not need to request CE credit for courses or exams.
- CE credit amounts and approvals are determined by each state.
- For approved courses and exams, CE credits are requested at the time of ordering.
Check whether CE was filed
If you’ve already completed a course or exam:
- Go to your Grade History page.
- Select the Course History tab.
- Review the CE filing status for completed courses.
To see which courses and exams are approved for CE and how many credit hours are awarded by each state, visit the State CE Credits page.
TIP: CE credits cannot be reported without current license information on file. Make sure your state license/NPN is up to date before testing or completing a CE-eligible course.
