My Username Was Changed by My Employer

If you changed employers or your company reassigned your email address, you may lose access to your Institutes account.

What to Do

  1. Try logging in with your old email address at TheInstitutes.org.
  2. If that doesn’t work, contact Customer Success and provide:
    • Your full name
    • Your previous email (the one tied to your account)
    • Your new email address
    • Your Student ID (if you have it)

Customer Success will update your account email so you can regain access.

What to Know

  • Your course progress and exam history are tied to your account, not your email address — nothing is lost when your email changes.
  • If your name changed (e.g., due to a previous employer’s error), let Customer Success know so it can be corrected before your next exam.
  • If your old employer email was reassigned to another person, mention this so the accounts aren’t confused.
