Error Messages During Exam Registration

Modified on Wed, 3 Jun at 10:17 AM

If you see an error message when trying to register for or launch your exam, here are the most common causes and fixes.

“Monitor Approval Number” Prompt

If you’re asked for a monitor approval number when launching your exam:

  • This prompt appears for certain state CE-eligible exams that require a proctor.
  • Enter your state license number — this is often what the system is requesting.
  • If the prompt appears unexpectedly (e.g., for a non-CE exam), contact Customer Success — it may be a system issue.

CE Error Blocking Exam Access

If you see a CE-related error when trying to launch your exam:

  • This usually means CE credit was bundled with your registration but your license information is missing from your profile.
  • Go to My Account > Profile > Licenses and add your state license number and/or NPN.
  • If you don’t need CE credit, contact Customer Success to have the CE requirement removed from your registration.

General Registration Errors

Important: If you are blocked from an exam with an upcoming deadline, mention the deadline when contacting support so your case can be prioritized.

  • Clear your browser cache and try again.
  • Try a different browser (Chrome or Edge recommended).
  • If the error persists, take a screenshot of the message and contact Customer Success.
