AI Tutor is the embedded AI study companion available in every lesson in select Institutes courses — the successor to Assignment Assistant. Here are answers to common questions.
What Is AI Tutor?
AI Tutor lets you highlight any text in a lesson to ask about that exact passage, tap a Quick Action (Key Takeaways, Simplify This, Why It Matters), or ask any question about what you’re studying. See What Is AI Tutor? for the full feature rundown.
AI Tutor Not Loading or Stuck
Important: Some employer networks block AI-powered tools. If AI Tutor works on a personal device but not your work computer, check with your IT department about network restrictions.
If AI Tutor won’t launch, shows an error, or is stuck in a loop:
- Refresh the page and relaunch AI Tutor.
- Clear your browser cache and cookies, then try again.
- Try a different browser — the latest version of Chrome, Edge, or Firefox.
- Try a different network — home Wi-Fi or a mobile hotspot, if you’re on a corporate network.
If the issue persists for more than 24 hours, contact Customer Success with your full name, student ID, course name, and a screenshot of the error.
Will AI Tutor Answer My Exam Questions?
No. For exam-integrity reasons, AI Tutor won’t give you direct answers to actual exam questions. It can explain concepts and offer sample questions to practice with if you ask.
