CPCU Matriculation

Learn what CPCU Matriculation is, why it's required, and how to complete it.

What is Matriculation?

Matriculation is a one-time requirement to register as a CPCU candidate. It grants access to an online ethics course (CPCU Code of Professional Conduct) that must be completed as part of the CPCU designation.

What does the fee cover?

The fee covers the review of your matriculation application and the enforcement of the CPCU Code of Professional Conduct for candidates and designees.

When should I matriculate?

You can take CPCU exams before matriculating, but we encourage you to matriculate as early as possible so you're aware of the ethical commitments of the CPCU designation.

How to complete Matriculation

  1. Pay the matriculation fee (this can be submitted with your first CPCU exam registration).
  2. Log in to your Institutes account.
  3. Go to My Courses & Exams.
  4. Find the CPCU Matriculation online course and select Launch Course.
  5. Work through the course content and complete all quizzes.

Important: Simply paying the fee does not complete the requirement. You must finish the online course.

Once completed, you'll receive notification that the matriculation requirement is met. If it's your last remaining requirement, you'll receive an email officially awarding the CPCU designation.
