Learn how to request exam accommodations in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
Eligibility & timing
- Accommodation requests must align with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
- Requests must be emailed at least 30 days before your exam date.
- Supporting documentation must be no more than 3 years old.
Email requests to Assessments@TheInstitutes.org with the required documentation:
- An IEP or Section 504 plan (if applicable)
- A diagnostic statement from a qualified professional
- A description of functional limitations
- An evaluation that includes the professional’s name, title, and credentials
What to expect
- Requests are reviewed by the Assessments team.
- Approved accommodations are applied to your exam once confirmed.
- You will be notified if additional information is needed.
TIP: Submit your request as early as possible to allow time for review and follow-up before your testing window.
