Find information about a specific designation
- Go to theinstitutes.org.
- Select Plan My Education → The Institutes Designations.
- Browse by category or select View All Designations. Categories include Claims & Underwriting, Risk Management, and Early Career.
- Click on any designation to see required courses, estimated completion time, course packages, and pricing.
Check your progress
- Log in to your Institutes account.
- Go to My Account → Progress Tracker.
- View your status within your current designation, cross-credits earned toward other designations, grades, and remaining requirements.
What course should I start with?
Each designation page includes a Recommended Completion Path. If you’re unsure, our most popular starting designations are:
- CPCU — For a broad view of insurance and strategic leadership skills

Do my completed courses count toward other designations?
