The Institutes offers risk management designations for professionals who manage, analyze, or oversee organizational risk.
How It Works
Important: ARM is a self-study program — there is no structured group training or classroom instruction. All courses are completed independently online.
- ARM (Associate in Risk Management) — The primary risk management designation, covering enterprise risk management, risk assessment, and risk financing. Self-study format with online courses and exams.
- ARM-P — Previously offered as an advanced risk management credential. ARM-P has been retired and is no longer available for new enrollments.
Common Misunderstandings
- There are no educational prerequisites for ARM. Anyone can enroll.
- ARM-P is no longer offered. If you’re interested in advanced risk management content, explore CPCU or Masterclass courses.
- ARM courses completed internationally may require manual verification for cross-credit purposes.
