If you hold or are working toward AINS (Associate in General Insurance), some of your completed courses may count toward the CPCU designation through cross-credits.
How Cross-Credits Work
Important: AINS is a professional designation, not an associate’s degree. It does not transfer to a bachelor’s degree program at a college or university.
- Certain AINS courses overlap with CPCU requirements and are automatically credited when both programs are in your account.
- Check your Progress Tracker under the CPCU program to see which courses have been applied.
Upgrading from Older INS Credentials
If you completed the INS certification program (pre-2003), you may be eligible to upgrade to AINS by completing a free ethics course. Contact Customer Success with your INS completion details.
Choosing AINS Electives
When selecting AINS electives, consider choosing courses that also count toward CPCU if you plan to pursue that designation next. Your Progress Tracker will show which electives offer cross-credit.
