Digital Badges

After completing certain courses, Micro-Certs, or designations, you’ll earn a digital badge that you can share with employers and peers. In August 2026, we moved our digital badge platform from Credly to Accredible to provide an improved badge experience — the achievement your badge represents hasn’t changed, only where it’s hosted and how it looks.

What is a digital badge?

A digital badge is a verified, shareable credential that gives employers and peers concrete evidence of your achievement. Each badge includes a verification link so anyone can confirm it’s authentic.

Which programs earn a badge?

You can currently earn a digital badge after completing CPCU 550, a Micro-Cert, or the AAI, AAI-M, ACSR, or PRC designations.

How to claim your badge

  1. After completing your course, Micro-Cert, or designation, check your inbox for an email from Badging@TheInstitutes.org.
  2. Click the link in the email to accept your badge on Accredible.
  3. If you’ve earned multiple badges, you’ll receive a separate email for each one — each is managed and claimed individually.
  4. If you don’t see the email, check your spam folder. Allow 1–2 business days after completion.

Note: If you earned a badge before August 2026, you’ll receive a new invitation email to move it to Accredible. No action is required if you’re happy with your existing Credly badge — it remains accessible, though we recommend displaying only one version to avoid duplicates.

Sharing your badge

Once you’ve accepted your badge, you can:

  • Share it directly to LinkedIn or other social platforms
  • Download the badge image
  • Copy a verification link to add to your resume, email signature, or personal website

Accepting or moving your badge to Accredible won’t update your LinkedIn profile, resume, or email signature automatically — you’ll need to swap in the new badge link yourself if you want to display the updated version.

Privacy

You control what information is public through your badge platform’s privacy settings.

I have more questions

Visit our Digital Badge FAQ for more on the Accredible transition, or contact Customer Success. If you have a question specific to a badge you haven’t yet moved off Credly, the Credly Help Center can also help.
