How to List CPCU on LinkedIn & Your Resume

Once you’ve earned your CPCU designation, you can display it on your professional profiles and resume.

On LinkedIn

Important: The Institutes does not send an automated LinkedIn verification link. You add the credential manually using the steps above.

Go to your LinkedIn profile and click Add profile section.
Select Licenses & Certifications.
Enter:
- Name: CPCU (Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter)
- Issuing organization: The Institutes
- Issue date: Your conferment date
Save your changes.

On Your Resume

List after your name: Jane Smith, CPCU
In a credentials section: CPCU — The Institutes, [Year]

Still Working Toward CPCU?

If you haven’t completed the designation yet, list it as:

CPCU — In Progress, Expected Completion: [Date]
