Not all courses include printed materials. Whether you receive a printed course book depends on your course package and program.
How It Works
Important: Printed course books are not available for all programs. Some designations (such as AINS, AIC, and ARM) are online-only and do not offer a printed book option, even with the Recommended Package. Check the course details on your designation page before ordering.
Most courses offer two package options:
| Package | Printed Book? |
|---|---|
| Recommended Package | Yes — includes a printed course book (where available) |
| Online Learning with Exam Prep | No — digital materials only |
The printed course book is a physical supplement to the online course. It contains the same content as the digital version — it’s a study convenience, not additional material.
What’s Included in Every Package (Printed or Not)
All packages include:
- Interactive online course
- Printable study outline
- Assignment quizzes
- Practice exams
- Simulated credentialing exam (one attempt)
- Interactive Exam Practice Questions (select programs)
The Recommended Package adds the printed course book shipped to your address.
Ethics Courses
The Ethics 311 course is fully online with no printed materials available.
Shipping for Printed Materials
Printed books ship via UPS. See How to Order Study Materials for shipping costs and timelines. UPS cannot deliver to PO Box addresses.
How Do I Order a Printed Book for a Course I Already Have?
If you already purchased a course as Online-Only and now want a printed supplement (and one is offered for that program), you can’t add it yourself through the website. Call Customer Success at (800) 644-2101 with your course name and order number, and they can add the printed supplement to your existing order. Programs that offer printed supplements include CPCU, AU, and AFSB.
If your employer is paying for the book, you can also add print materials through the Bulk Order portal’s Print Materials option. See Ordering for Your Team (Key Person / Bulk Orders).
Note: If a printed supplement is not offered for your program (e.g., AINS, AIC, CAS DISC, ARM), the course is online-only and there is no printed book to purchase separately. The online course materials are the only format available.
